Hi, my name is Toby. I've been playing Holdem for fun and profit for about six years. In Prescott Valley, Arizona we have an active community of poker players. We have a small casino, home games, bar sponsored satellite games, charity games, and several weekly poker league games.

I thought that I would have mastered the game by now, but have come to realize that it is a journey, a life long pursuit. I have played over 100 local players, in live games, regularly and can say that the over all level play over the years has improved a notch or two. Almost all players are more aggressive and will steal the pot if you let them get away with it. Lucky for me, the vast majority of them still play too loose and eventually spew their chips to tighter, more patient players.

So why am I creating this site? In addition to loving the game for fun and profit, I also like to write for fun and for profit. In the process, I hope I can grease the chutes for a few new comers by steering them in the right direction and to avoid some of the pitfalls.
